✓ Market definition and Merger Simulation;

This cycle of open lectures examined how the European Commission addresses competition concerns in digital markets, focusing on self-preferencing practices, regulatory compliance, public enforcement mechanisms, and the obligations imposed on major digital platforms under the Digital Markets Act. Through the analysis of the Google Shopping case and the European Commission’s investigation concerning Apple’s App Store, the lectures provided students with a practical understanding of the relationship between traditional EU competition law and the new regulatory framework governing digital gatekeepers. The open lectures promoted academic and professional discussion on current EU competition-policy developments and supported the integration of contemporary European competition-law issues into higher-education curricula in Albania.
